Il a suffi d\u2019un instant pour que\u00a0Ronaldo,\u00a0le neveu de\u00a0Th\u00e9ogette,\u00a0ait l\u2019id\u00e9e de la\u00a0mettre en contact avec\u00a0des professionnels de sant\u00e9 qui lui prodigueraient\u00a0les soins\u00a0dont elle avait besoin.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Le calvaire de\u00a0Th\u00e9ogette\u00a0a commenc\u00e9 par un mal de dents s\u00e9v\u00e8re. La dent a \u00e9t\u00e9 extraite dans une clinique locale, mais un petit gonflement est apparu le long de sa m\u00e2choire\u00a0qui grossissait\u00a0avec le temps jusqu\u2019\u00e0 d\u00e9former toute la partie inf\u00e9rieure de son visage. Elle s\u2019occupait de sa famille et travaillait chaque jour pour subvenir aux besoins de ses enfants. Mais \u00e0 mesure que la tumeur prenait\u00a0de la place dans\u00a0sa vie,\u00a0sa\u00a0joie s\u2019estompait, et il\u00a0lui\u00a0devenait\u00a0de plus en plus difficile\u00a0de travailler quotidiennement\u00a0comme soutien de\u00a0famille et\u00a0de\u00a0s\u2019occuper de ses enfants.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">L\u2019histoire de\u00a0Th\u00e9ogette\u00a0illustre une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 m\u00e9dicale plus vaste. La tumeur qui affectait\u00a0Th\u00e9ogette, appel\u00e9e\u00a0am\u00e9loblastome, est la tumeur\u00a0odontog\u00e8ne\u00a0la plus fr\u00e9quente. Elle repr\u00e9sente environ 1% \u00e0 3% de toutes les tumeurs et l\u00e9sions tumorales de la r\u00e9gion de la t\u00eate et du cou.
