La famille s\u2019agrandissait, pour leur plus grand bonheur. Cependant, la m\u00e8re d\u2019Aicha est tomb\u00e9e\u00a0<strong>malade<\/strong>\u00a0peu apr\u00e8s son accouchement. Trois mois plus tard, elle d\u00e9c\u00e9da, laissant derri\u00e8re elle un nouveau-n\u00e9 et un mari d\u00e9vast\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de sa m\u00e8re, la petite Aicha a \u00e9t\u00e9 recueillie par sa grand-m\u00e8re, Mymoona.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Ce fut une p\u00e9riode tr\u00e8s sombre pour nous\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Mymoona.\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0Mon fils \u00e9tait en deuil et nous devions nous occuper au mieux d\u2019Aicha\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Sans le lait de sa m\u00e8re, Mymoona s\u2019est d\u00e9brouill\u00e9e pour nourrir au mieux sa petite-fille.\u00a0 Elle s\u2019est m\u00eame rendue \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital local pour obtenir des conseils sur la meilleure fa\u00e7on de l\u2019alimenter sans lait maternel. Malgr\u00e9 leurs efforts, la grand-m\u00e8re et le p\u00e8re d\u2019Aicha, Alpha, se sont vite rendu compte qu\u2019elle ne grandissait pas normalement. Ses jambes devenaient\u00a0<strong>arqu\u00e9es<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e0 cause de la\u00a0<strong>malnutrition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Une rencontre d\u00e9cisive<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Au moment d\u2019entrer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole, Aicha apprenait encore \u00e0 marcher au lieu d\u2019apprendre \u00e0 lire et \u00e0 \u00e9crire. Avec ses jambes arqu\u00e9es \u00e0\u00a0<strong>45 degr\u00e9s<\/strong>, chaque jour \u00e9tait un\u00a0<strong>combat<\/strong>. Plus elle grandissait, plus elle avait l\u2019impression de ne pas \u00eatre comme les autres enfants\u2026 Mais l\u2019\u00e9cole n\u2019\u00e9tait pas une option et sa famille tenait \u00e0 ce qu\u2019elle re\u00e7oive la meilleure \u00e9ducation.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Nous ne savions pas comment l\u2019aider\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, dit Mymoona.\u00a0<em>\u00ab \u00c0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital, ils ont dit qu\u2019ils n\u2019avaient pas l\u2019\u00e9quipement n\u00e9cessaire pour soigner ses jambes arqu\u00e9es. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Alpha et Mymoona se d\u00e9menaient chaque jour pour trouver de l\u2019<strong>aide<\/strong>. Aicha a rencontr\u00e9 plusieurs infirmi\u00e8res\u00a0<strong>b\u00e9n\u00e9voles\u00a0<\/strong>de l\u2019<em>Africa Mercy<\/em>\u00a0afin d\u2019\u00eatre auscult\u00e9e. Enfin, peu de temps apr\u00e8s, ils ont appris qu\u2019elle recevrait une\u00a0<strong>op\u00e9ration chirurgicale<\/strong>\u00a0pour ses jambes arqu\u00e9es \u00e0 bord de notre navire.<\/p>\n<p>Pour qu\u2019Alpha puisse continuer \u00e0 travailler afin de mettre de c\u00f4t\u00e9, c\u2019est Mymoona qui a accompagn\u00e9 Aicha \u00e0 bord. S\u2019\u00e9tant occup\u00e9e d\u2019elle depuis son plus jeune \u00e2ge, elle est rest\u00e9e aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de sa petite fille \u00e0 chaque instant. Elle s\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs r\u00e9jouie de la qualit\u00e9 des\u00a0<strong>soins apport\u00e9s<\/strong>\u00a0ainsi que de l\u2019<strong>atmosph\u00e8re \u00e0 bord<\/strong>\u00a0du navire. Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, la petite fille s\u2019est tr\u00e8s vite habitu\u00e9e \u00e0 la vie \u00e0 bord. Le soutien de nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles l\u2019a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 avancer chaque jour.<br \/>\n<em>\u00ab L\u2019action de Mercy Ships est formidable, et nous voulons qu\u2019elle continue pour que d\u2019autres puissent \u00eatre aid\u00e9s \u00e0 leur tour.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Une enfance retrouv\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La p\u00e9riode de\u00a0<strong>r\u00e9\u00e9ducation<\/strong>\u00a0d\u2019Aicha a \u00e9t\u00e9 longue et intensive. R\u00e9apprendre \u00e0 marcher n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 une mince affaire. Cependant, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa d\u00e9termination, au soutien de sa famille et aux encouragements de nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, elle y est arriv\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9sormais gu\u00e9rie, Aicha marche fi\u00e8rement aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de son p\u00e8re et de sa grand-m\u00e8re. Tous trois n\u2019ont jamais abandonn\u00e9 et ont su aller au-devant de son handicap. Les jambes arqu\u00e9es de la petite fille sont d\u00e9sormais derri\u00e8re elle. Aujourd\u2019hui, elle marche dignement vers un\u00a0<strong>avenir rayonnant<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<em>\u00ab Si la m\u00e8re d\u2019Aicha pouvait la voir, elle serait la plus heureuse car, malgr\u00e9
