Want to work with us?

In anticipation of the arrival of Mercy Ships in mid-August 2020, we are looking for a number of dedicated local workers to partner with us. Mercy Ships uses hospital ships to transform lives and serve nations, one at a time, through surgical intervention and medical capacity building. Although the main focus is the hospital, we need many different types of skills to support the hospital. Follow the link to find out more!

Liberia

The current desire and plan for Mercy Ships is for one of our hospital ships to return to Liberia in the coming years.

Mercy Ships is a global charity, which uses hospital ships to bring hope and healing to nations who are holistically building stronger healthcare systems.

The volunteer professionals of Mercy Ships have been honored to partner with Liberia’s Ministry of Health and local and international partners in the past by offering immediate surgical intervention onboard the Mercy Ships and sharing advice and resources to build Liberia’s own capacity and we look forward to doing so again.

Detailed plans on the surgeries, dental, and medical capacity building training that will be offered in Liberia will be created based on our assessments and with input from the team on the ground currently.

More details will be added on this site when available.

FAQs

The Africa Mercy will be arriving in the middle of August 2020 and will stay for a 10 month field service.

Registration will begin several months before the arrival of the ship and will be communicated locally and on this website.

We will be needing many people to help as translators, extra hands, and partners during this time. There is much more information on this page about this.
