Michael Nkeze serves as Country Director for Mercy Ships in Ghana, where he leads strategic operations, partnerships, and program delivery in support of the organization’s mission to increase access to safe surgical care.
He holds an MBA in Operations Management and Leadership from the London School of Business and Finance, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Statistics. With more than twelve years of experience across leadership, administration, finance, operations, and program delivery, Michael has built a strong track record in navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including within nonprofit and hybrid organizations.
Michael joined Mercy Ships in September 2024 as Operations Director, where he demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and deep commitment to strengthening the organization’s presence in Ghana. His leadership, collaborative spirit, and operational expertise have played a key role in laying a solid foundation for Mercy Ships’ work in the country.
In his current role as Country Director, Michael continues to foster strong partnerships and guide the team with a focus on sustainable impact, ensuring that Mercy Ships’ mission is effectively translated into meaningful outcomes for the communities it serves.
