Day Crew Opportunities

Mercy Ships hires national day crew for every 10-month field service. This crew is typically made up of 200 professionals from the partner nation where Mercy Ships is docked. These individuals are recruited in-country and are the backbone of the work Mercy Ships does. Day crew provide support as translators, hospital assistants, and housekeepers, as well as filling roles in the dining room, galley, deck, and engineering departments.

Day Crew Compensation and Benefits 

Day crew workers are given a stipend for the period they serve on the ship. Mercy Ships provides relevant training as needed, as well as opportunities for professional growth through additional training, mentorship, and support from experts in the field.
